Lake County Library System and Lake County's new public transportation service, LakeXpress, is offering a free paperback book to each rider.
Take the bookmark provided on the bus to one of the Lake County Library System libraries and receive a complimentary paperback to read on your next LakeXpress journey. “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” Dr. Seuss.
Library cards are FREE to all Lake County residents and through reciprocal borrowing to residents of Marion, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole and Volusia Counties and Lake-Sumter Community College Students. When you visit your library you will see for yourself the tremendous value our libraries offer. Your libraries and LakeXpress are partners for a vital and educated community.
LakeXpress operates Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Buses do not run on Saturdays, Sundays and the following federal holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. This offer will be good until 8/21/07, while supplies last.
