Lake County 2020 Transit Development Online Survey
The Lake~Sumter MPO and Lake County Community Services Department
are commencing development of the 2020 Transit Development
Plan (TDP) and will be conducting stakeholder interviews to
gather in-depth information from key officials, community leaders,
and other individuals regarding current and potential future
transit service in the Lake-Sumter urbanized area.
Interviews, in the form of online surveys, are planned with
numerous stakeholders, with the intent of assessing their views
on current transit service and implementation and funding of
new transit projects, as well as identifying those transit issues
of greatest local concern. Completing the survey takes approximately
six (6) minutes.
This project is sponsored by Lake~Sumter Metropolitan Planning
Organization.

LakeXpress, Lake County’s public transportation service, unveiled its newest route Tuesday in Mount Dora and while local residents are seeing the immediate benefit, businesses in the bustling downtown of Mount Dora are warming up to the potential the new bus line brings to the area.

Public Transportation Division schedules public meetings to receive comments about proposed bus route changes
The Lake County Department of Community Services, Public Transportation Division, is scheduling two public meetings for Monday, Nov. 19, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Leesburg Community Building, located at 109 E.
